Invitation Cards

One of the things I really enjoy doing is making handmade cards for people. I haven't done it for a while now because it can get to be an expensive hobby, as I love all the embellishments and stamps that I think are important for making a really nice card.

Looking ahead at the calendar I realized that my kid's music recital is only three weeks away. Ever since they started their lessons I have sent out handmade invitations to relatives. I knew if I was going to make them again for this year, I better get busy. Last night I sat down at my computer looking at several different holiday pictures when one in particular caught my eye. It was a picture of a star ornament made out of sheet music. I knew the minute I saw it that I was going to have to use it somehow, on the invitations.

After trying a couple of different things I finally came up with a very simple card. I originally wanted to do something more elaborate, but I'm pretty satisfied with simple.
