Book Meme

I've seen this Meme on various blogs and wanted to join in on the fun!

The Page 123 Meme

1. Grab the book closest to you.
2. Open to page 123, look down to the 5th sentence.
3. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog.
4. Include the title and the author's name.
5. Tag 3 People.

"He was about like any other dweller on the wooded mountain: he just lived there. It was during the second year that Old Grouch turned the head of a dainty little miss. She was just sixteen months old, and like many another lass before her, she fell in love with a good-for-nothing."
This excerpt is from a story called, Animal Friends of Kildee House. It's taken from my son's Literature text book: "Of People" (A Beka Book)

Since I don't really know who reads my blog on a regular basis, if you want to play, consider yourself tagged. :-)
